4L80E

Asked by opa6x57 Jul 05, 2009 at 02:49 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

Will a 4L80E transmission from a 1995 suburban fit into a 1993 suburban?

I'd like to know if this will work before I pull the transmission out - I already have the 1995 transmission.

If it's a matter of electronics - is it possible to change things around so that the transmission will work?

If the 1993 had a 4L80E standard, it should fit right in. I could be wrong, but I don't think there were any major changes between 1993 and 1995.
