Buying a 2004 Chrysler, Town & Country with 214,000 miles?
I am looking to purchase a 2004 Chrysler, Town & Country, with 214,000 miles at a car dealer. The car is extremely clean, no outside wear and tear, new tires and has been maintained very well. It drives very well with no noticeable issues or noises. My question is. Is it worth it to buy this car that has this many miles on it? I will only be driving it to and from work, which is a total of 20 miles per day. The price is $2500.
I would appreciate an opinion if possible.
I just quickly viewed a few online, 2004 T&C 108000 miles 3.7V6 clean $2500. There a lot of these vehicles available. I prefer purchasing from the original owner, along with all maintenance records hearing all issues and details first hand. I understand most people can't do this because of time constraints. Make your best decision, as we all try doing. Regards
See if you can get it cheaper, $2000? If it's just a beater car, no worries then. Fix things yourself when things go wrong.
Tom's right, the price is a little too high, if you haven't already done so I would recommend taking it to a shop that does used car checks, it is money well spent especially if they find some wrong now and not after you paid for it. 214K it is time for things to start happening unless it has been meticulously maintained.
