My wife was driving oil light came on and engine shut down won't start
Is she locked up?....the motor, not the wife~~does the damn thing even turn anymore?
It turns over but won't start
of course you put the oil filter on correctly...removed the double gasket that caused the leakage....something caused the leak....I suspect a junior-level spee-dee left the old o-ring gasket on there and made a leak...else substituted an incorrect filter on that....as a mechanic have seen both of these conditions....it's not the fault of your wife, but the fault of the last oil change service.....air, fuel, spark....check these...ask me how, if needed~
as I recall these oil pumps are driven off of the timing belt...there is a slight chance the belt had a couple of teeth scraped off or jumped a tooth...leading to incorrect valve timing....could you please let us know which engine this car has?~
Ever had the timing chain or belt as dictated by the owner's manual...in other words proper maintenance on the critical systems?~
Just bought the van last year regular oil changes no problems its a 3.8L
Can it be fixed
air, fuel, spark...we still did not check these~
