How do i know if my head is broke
you don't say if you have a skip in the engine i'm guessing you do. try taking off the radiator cap start the engine look into radiator to see if you have air bubbles in coolant coming out of filler neck. if you do, head gasket is leaking.[DO WHILE ENGINE IS COOL].
forgot to mention make sure radiator is full after you take cap off to check for air bubbles before you start
Chances are you have a head gasket leak. Do a compression test first. If you have to remove the heads anyway, have them checked for true and cracks, and then put in a new head gasket. The other option, at that point, is to think of a new crate engine. It depends on the mileage and condition of the bottom end of the existing engine.
