I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring and the front and has a roaring noise we change the tires check the hubs, alignment breaks everything we can think of does anybody have any ideas
There is a off chance that the fan clutch is defective. If the "roaring noise" is in relation to the speed of the engine then I would look there. The fan should be able to turn with little resistance when the engineis cold and off.
Does the sound occur at speed, or even at idle? Change with engine speed? Check, a/c compressor, alternator, power steering pump, water pump, for bearing or belt or timing chain failure. BTW, the engine is transverse (sideways) with an electric fan. No clutch.
No it's a steady increases roar only while in drive increases with speed and decreases with speed what is the five bolt thing that cv axle slides into on tranny
