I have a 2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible with the 2.7L engine that needs a
new water pump.  One of the bolt holes that takes a bolt that passes through
the timing chain cover and throught the water pump has become stripped.  I
messed up trying to drill and tap it and use a heli-coil; the heli-coil won't hold.  
Any suggestions on how to repair the hole?  I am considering re-drilling and
tapping and using a larger bolt, but there is only so much leeway throung the
water pump.  I have also seen some things about filling the hole with J B
Weld and either waxing and setting a lubricated bolt in it while it cures to
form new thread or to re-drill and tap it.

JB weld will hold moms vase together , maybe . It never works , King Kong must have worked on the car before and over torqued the bolt

Enough with the comedic comments. If you're trying to be funny, you're not. I'm looking for suggestions with substinance; if you don't have that, don't waste our time. And by the way, I bought this car in 2006 and have taken care of it and have driven it for just over 270000 miles with this being the only real problem, so that's a bad decision I hope to continue making in the future.
