I have a pt cruiser 2006 and timing belt went out it did not break we put a new one on and it still won't start and the alarm won't turn off what could be wrong still

If the timing belt stretched or jumped enough to stop the engine the valves may be damaged. Run a compression test. If all cylinders test low either the valves are damaged or the valve timing is not set correctly or both. HTH. -Jim
