Was told I most likely had a fuel pump problem with the intermittent starting, my car does not surge or anything when it does start, so does it still sound like a fuel problem, sometimes it starts, sometimes not, when it does it drives good

A fuel pump on it,s way out,will do this,check fuel pressure,and your fuel pump relay.

In my experience, the fuel pump is good or bad. Check out the electrical connections. All electrical connections. Including the ones to and from the battery.
