Check engine visit workshop light came on. What may be the problem?
My 2006 porsche boxster was just repaired with new water pump, brakes and
80k mile check up. Check engine light visit workshop light came on. What may
be the problem and should I have it towed to the dealer ASAP?
Without knowing what code was set it is really hard to say. Get the code read and post another question. If it were me and I did not have any problems with how the car drives I would just drive it in but that is your call.
I agree. Don't get excited over a CEL. The most common cause is gas cap. Usually something minor, emissions related (which is the reason the NHTSB and EPA implemented OBDII) and - as FoR says you can just drive it UNLESS IT BEGINS TO BLINK, that means a serious problem. I also agree that if you get it scanned and get a code, open a new question so we will see it. Personally I don't go back to every answer I have given to check
I agree with the above, and many national chain auto parts stores will scan if for free and tell you the code/source of the problem.
