Should both mirrors fold in when I select that feature on my '07 avalanche LTZ?

Asked by Feb 18, 2015 at 11:32 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought an '07 LTZ edition avalanche
and was under the impression  both mirrors
were supposed to fold in for tight spaces
such as garage and car washes. Only the
drivers side fold in on mine.

Have someone activate the fold in switch while you lightly bump the mirror head in the fold direction, the motor may just be jamed up, if that don't work then you will have to remove the door panel to gain access to the mirror harness to check for power and ground to the fold motor, if you have power and ground both directions then the motor is bad, if you don't then it could be a problem in the switch or logic module for the mirrors. A service repair manual will be a great help on this.
