Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 honda odyssey amd
when I go to crank it all the lights,
radio, power doors, everything
electrical works fine but the
engine won't turn over, it makes
no noise at all. Its don't this to me
before and ive gotten my battery
tested and was told its fine and
my alternator is fine. Its to a point
now where it won't start at all. I've
noticed a small green key flashing
on the dash now when I go to
crank it, does anyone know what
could be wrong?

If the green key light flashes when the ignition is turned on it means in did not successfully read the code from the key. There is a sensor in the steering column that might need to be replaced. It sounds like the sensor is just not getting a good signal. Do you have many keys or stuff in your key chain? Try to start the car with only the key and no key chain attached to see if the condition goes away.

On the Buick, have you checked the battery to see if it is good? A low car battery can cause the ignition switch not to work properly. Also wiggle the steering wheel from side to side while trying to remove the key, do this carefully. If you have loss of power, you will not be able to remove the key until the problem is corrected and, as I said, you may need a new battery.
