can cam/crank sensor or speed sensor affect cruise control not working

my 04 Isuzu rodeo sometimes does not want to start when the engine has run a while.  code shows possible cam/crank sensor or speed sensor. How can you determine which it is? I changed plugs and fuel filter but it did not fix it.

You need a better code reader, one that has live data capabilities, that way you can tell what sensor by looking at the data. Yes a bad speed sensor can cause a cruise control inoperable condition but not a no start.
