I am thinking of purchasing a 2007 Saturn ION 3 QUAD COUPE but I am a bit weary because I am not sure if parts will be easily accesible. Is it a good idea to purchase this car?
No. Parts are getting harder and harder to come by, if something major happens you have to rely on rebuilt units. Never buy anything that is no longer being made unless you plan on getting it just for a collection.
You sound like a sales man there tennisshoes. After market parts are available after 3 to 5 years of production of the vehicle do to the OEM contracts with a car manufacturer. Otherwise the parts you buy during production of the car are from certified OEM's. I think parts are around for maintenance for a long time to keep a car going.
I'm having troubpkle getting things like turn signal switches, knobs, inside stuff like seat belt assemblies.
