Vulvo steering hard to turn

My 07, vulvo s80 3.2 steering
became hard to turn ,I started it
this morning drove to store came
back out 5 mins and the steering
was harder to turn ,stuff also a
burnt smell like rubber when I
looked under the hood there was
some smoke coming from under
the cover near the top of good by
the windshield ,any ideas ?

All your symptoms are due to a large power steering fluid leak. Find the leak and make a repair and refill the reservoir and bleed for air out. It's most probably that a rubber hose has failed.
