Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi all, would appreciate your help.    Both front and rear left turn signals operate normally.  When I turn on the right turn signal, all lights blink including both front and left rear, interior dash and radio.  I thought that I had broken a ground when I installed rear corner guards, but I have tried cleaning the ground plate in the light, bolts and replacing bulbs.  this is my first Jeep, so I am not Knowledgeable on where to look next.  Sugestions would be appreciated.  Thanks

Simple answer is that though both bulbs in rear taillight appear to be the same, however one is an 1156 and the other is an 1157. If you interchange, you will cause the problem as described.

Wow, VicGol...you are a life saver. My 05 LJ had the same problem, only with the front left blinker made the hazards work. I looked at the rear bulbs like you advised, and lo and behold that was problem. Thank you!
