will a ecotec motor bolt into a 1993 cavalier
It will fit but the '94 and older cav's are built alot stronger and the mounts for the motor and tranny are different. You will need to fab. You will need the motor, tranny, computer, harnesses and instrument cluster as the '93 is a OBD1 and the Ecotec is a OBD2.
Another option. There is a company that I found on the web awhile back that sells ecotec crate motors for mini sand rails. You could try searching for the company and see what options they have for there ECM. You may be able to use that and keep some of the stock wiring and dash. It will be quite the project. What motor do you have? Do you want more power or fuel economy or both?
