2007 Pontiac supercharged 3.8 reduced engine power

Changed water pump and after putting it together
car will start but runs like crap then traction
control comes on then reduced engine power and
stalls out ran fine before

have the engine diagnostic codes read for more info. wires could be wet and arcing (just a guess). if idle is rough there could be a misfire.
