my car starts but is missing (miss fire code) causing lose of power and rough idle
My car (07 grand prix) is missing on 2 cylinders thinks is 2 and 4 I replaced
coil pack but no change (old coil was still good) tested to the best of my ability
the ignition module and I'm getting power there and power to my crank
position sensor what else am i missing and why can't I find the cause of my
multi miss fire?
Did you also change the spark plugs? If the plugs are shot then changing the coils won't help.
spark plugs probably need changed yes but the coil pack itself is not firing replaced it still no fire on a new coil swapped my old coil out with one of the other coils and it fires
Mine did the same thing. Changed plugs and wires and wala' - fixed.
Coil has to be fireing before it warrants changing plugs
Not sure how you were testing your coil but I think you should still consider the plugs. Does this car also have ignition wires? They too could be the cause for misfires. Does the car have a single coil unit or one for each cylinder? Different techniques would be used to troubleshoot. What happened when you put the "old coil" back in? you said it worked but did the miss stop?
