my car is running rough feels like it its going to stall and the yellow engine light is on steady

my car ran low on gas and ever since I filled it up  the next day the cars engine yellow light came on and won't go off,, the car feels like it is going to stall

You might have drawn some water or debris into the fuel system when the tank ran low. Have the fuel line flushed, change the fuel filter, clean the injectors, and I bet that solves the issue.

The dealer right away said it was a fuel pump without even checking anything
