2007 Pontiac Grand Prix headlights, turn signal, and brights!

Asked by Oct 09, 2013 at 10:16 AM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I use my turn signal on My Pontiac Grand Prix, and it flips back after I turn, my brights flash on. It seems like it slips back too far or something. Also, now my headlights will randomly shut off out of the blue when I am driving. Brights still work though. What could it be, and how could I fix this! Thanks!

Mine 2006 Grand Prix is doing the same thing with the bright lights coming on when coming out of the turn (left turn only). So far my headlights are not randomly shutting off though. The problem with the bright lights coming on started this week. Could it be the switch?

c2013w Did you ever figure this out? I am having a very similar issue with my 06 Grand Prix. My brights come on after i use my turn signal. Also, my brights will sometimes stay on until i play with the lever a bit. As for the headlights shutting off, mine was doing that and would eventually not come back on. Ended up being the the headlight relay. I believe it's called the HDM relay in the fuse box though.
