Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 07 Pontiac Grand Prix base 3.8, I have
144k miles on it right now. Doesn’t have too many
issues just a small coolant leak and I burn oil a little
faster than I think I should? But I don’t know too
much In depth about cars but I love my car and I
want to know what I should look at to repair that’s a
an annually maintenance type of thing if there are
any suggestions cause I always feel like there’s
something I can do to make it run and be a better
car or I’m just overthinking. Also I have
transmission issues I have had to replace 2:)

Agree with Ed. Do the factory recommended maintenance and fix the things you know are wrong. Coolant should not be leaking so get that looked after before something blows and leaves you stranded. Keep an eye on the oil if you know its using a little. Things are going to start wearing out at that mileage so be prepared for regular repair bills from here on in, but if its a good car and you like it that is still probably cheaper than buying a new one.
