Question type: Maintenance & Repair

wheels off ground. in park. tires move freely in opposite direction. making loud bearing noise but still goes down road. are my tires suppose to turn when in park?

Yes if you have a standard rear differential, no if you have a limited slip or posi track differential.


Bearing noise means overhaul it now or you could find yourself walking.

If you have the g80 locker that was common in these trucks it will make a clicking noise when you do this
