overheating put a new thermostat in

I have a 93 4.3 Vortec Chevy S10 Blazer put
in new thermostat and it is still overheating
as I'm sitting at a red light as soon as I hit
the gas and hold it to the floor as I take off it
cools down cannot figure out the problem
because when it first happened I thought
thermostat

How does the Antifreeze look? Might need to flush the cooling system, Maybe a weak water pump?

also check the operation of your fan and fan clutch

This is probably going to be an airflow problem. Check the fan clutch for proper operation and check the front of the radiator and air- conditioning condenser for dirt or any obstruction. HTH. -Jim
