Price replacement batteries before buying. Can you afford to lose 3 grand tomorrow if the car dies?

Well that's a good answer but I dont think I can afford 3000 if the car dies ! But do you know how long does a battery for this kind of cars ? Like how many km can it go approximately before it dies ?

This car has nearly 200,000 miles on it. There is no way to know how long it will last. If you decide to pursue this I would find a hybrid forum and see what owners say.

Factor in how much you drive. If you drive 10,000 miles (16,000km) a year it probably will not last long even if it is in really good shape now.

From what I have read your battery has very limited life left in it if it is the original battery.

Beside that I also found one 2005 nissan altima 2.5s regualr drove 190,000km which is asking for 2500dollars do you think that would be a better option ?

Beware of any Nissan with a CVT. Not sure if the 2005's had an automatic or CVT.

The car still has high miles. You should invest a couple of bucks and have it checked out by a mechanic prior to purchasing.
