What is the yellow light in center at the bottom of the instrument panel?
A yellow light in the center at the bottom of the instrument panel came on this evening. What does this mean?
That's the check engine light. If it doesn't go out the next few times you start your van you should take it to your mechanic to hook up to computer and check the fault code.
if it looks like any of these below, then you sound like a person who should take it in. If you are at all savy, i can tell you how to diagnose it for about $30 if you have a smart phone - android or iphone http://www.joko-40an.web.id/wp- content/uploads/2012/07/check-engine-light-large.jpg
if you want to diagnose it, buy an Elm327 OBDII bluetooth reader (amazon you can find these for about $20 or less). then download the App called Torque (costs $5), plug it in, connect to bluetooth and turn on the app, go to settings - select "CBT" or "OBDII" and then "Check Fault Codes" - otherwise you will have to pay someone like $300 - $400 to tell you your gas cap was loose and another $50 to clear it and another $20 to tighten it for you...
