1994 Camaro Z28 350 LT1, Quits Running with no warning?
1994 Z28 LT1 350, with a auto trans.
This car runs really well. Very fast when it runs. This car will almost jump the front wheels off the ground when going through the gears.
But it just quits for no reason. I have had it set at a idle for a hr. then take a drive and it runs great drove 50 miles. Then the next time I drive it may stop running in 10 miles or may run 50 miles. It's like nothing I have ever seen before. I have put in a new HD battery, a high amp altanator, new belt, New fuel filter, New radiator, and water pump, New oil change to 10 W 30 Castrol oil, New air filter,
What do I try Next? Car has just turned 120,000 miles
Sounds like a wiring issue or loose connection somewhere.
Did you check out the fuel pump? Maybe the pump is starting to go. It may be acting up here and there.
1. Thank you , But how do you find the loose wire? Would it show up as a hard or soft fault code in car on board computer ? Don't want to spend the time if it won't show up. 2. I can here It is running at start, and when the car is running. Would this show up in a fault code in car computer? Thank you all for your input as it all helps.
Locate and check all ground connections and ground straps, inspect underside of power distribution box for any corrosion or loose contacts. it's possible there may be a stored fault code. The fuel pump is probably not the issue.
