My brake pedal if firm when the motor is not running but when I start the motor the pedal is spongy. I bleed the brakes. Any ideas what it could be?

How spongy, too spongy. When the engine is off the brake booster is not assisting you therefore the pedal is stiff. When running the booster helps you apply force to the brake cylinder and the pedal will move futher and more line pressure is created. Is the pedal traveling to far? Has the pedal movement changed? Has brake performance been effected.

r 7 r ed calipers .. pads...master cly & a b s valve no pedal when motor on booster o k .. good vacume bleed system 5 times no airin lines
