On a regular maintenance besides the engine do I focus on ?
Are you talking about a switch that says power trans on it? Never heard of a transmission being referenced that way, they are usually talking about a selector switch that says norm or power on it.
not sure , just trying to find out what need s to be serviced on a reg. base my Transmission has been checked maybe they where talking about Drive Trans . if this makes any since , sorry I know I sound a little stupid - I'm use to a 68 Fire bird - but my Charger is a whole new monster .
Not much else to service, keep the oil and filter changed, spark plugs usually last 100K, keep the air filter serviced as it should be, transmission serviced at recommended intervals, coolant every 5 years if you have the good stuff in it, belts, hoses every 3 to 5 depending on they feel, I use to change thermostats every 3 years but with the better coolants I wait for the full 5 unless they act up. Wheel bearings are now sealed so you can't service them any more, rear end fluids I still change at 100K unless something happens there also. HTH
Hey Tennisshoes , thank you - you've been a great help , I super appreciate your time & patients I'll ask about info on a performance chip later - but if there is any thing I can do for you , let me know :)
