Asked by Nov 16, 2016 at 03:23 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet HHR LT1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I smell gas after I filled the tank and now I am told that gas is coming from several area's.  Is this a common problem and should I also replace the fuel pump at the same time.

Coming from what areas? I would check the EVAP system before springing for a new tank.

Yes, and fuel line ruptures. Mine also has a small EVAP leak, CEL comes on every 2-3 weeks. I reset it 3-days before emissions...
