why doesnt my 07 chevy hhr right rear turn signal/tail light work?
when i pull out the bulb it is fine. while check the bulb i have someone press
on the brake and turn on right turn signal. if i wiggle the bulb it works then
when i put it back in the housing it stops working. i can tell when im drivin when
it is working cause the blinker ticks normal. when its not working it ticks really
fast. please help!
The bulb in there is probably the wrong one. It must be a 3057KX. The KX at the end of the bulb number is very important!! That bulb has a slightly different style base than a 3057 or any 3057 bulb without the KX on the end. You can jam a regular 3057 in the socket but it won't work correctly and it will also damage the metal connectors inside of the socket causing exactly what you're describing. HTH. -Jim
will try it. thank you.
You're welcome. Glad to help. - Jim
that is the bulb thats in there. back to square one.
Look at the metal tabs inside the plastic bulb socket. Do they appear bent or damaged? HTH. -Jim
