service battery and charging system appears and disappears on warning monitor needle comes to discharge and charge and battery lite on dash comes on, new battery same problem

Seems to be a very common problem with this year and model. The only" real" fix that I have seen is to replace the alternator/ generator. Depending on who you talk to someone will call it an alternator and someone else will call it a generator. Good luck.

Check on recalls as well as service bulletins for your make and model as well. Think there is one.

Start with the battery first by load testing it. Remember to disconnect the negative and then the positive battery cables first. If the battery passes the load test, then I’d move to the alternator. Note: make sure the battery is fully charged before doing a load test. If the battery is weak, it will definitely fail the test.
