Does bluetooth work independant or must it be done through Onstar

Hi johan! Yes and no. If you are talking about your cell phone it would work independently. But I believe if you involve the system in the Suburban you will need to go through Onstar. But your salesman should be more than willing to drive to your house and set this up, and he should be delighted if you drive there and ask for help. Good luck!

Loub, Is there a way to pair my bluetooth capable cell phone with my 2007 Suburban? As for my dealer? I'd rather not involve them unless it's absolutely necessary.. Thanks

u must have an active onStar account in order to activate ur blue tooth if u want send me ur vin and will will pull ur vehicle build hwilkens@chapmanautogroup.com

push ur phone button it will say onstar "onstar ready" u reply " bluetooth" onstar: bluetooth ready u say pair onstar wil say pair......just follow the prompts ......u need to run a search on ur cell onstar will instruct u to enter a 4 digit code it really easy if u have any problems u can reach me at hwilkens@chapmanautogroup.com or call me at work 215-365-0700 est

I need to plug my USB connector into the USB port on my 2014 Chevy Suburban for a cell phone charge, however it will not charge my phone. What is wrong or what do I need to do?
