You have to be careful with those engines, if the rings get plugged its 5,000 for a new motor!

Thank you for the information, 300,00 is a long time. I come from the old days of a SBC going 100,00 and out. I am looking for a family & car hauler :-)

Vehicles have come a long way since the 80's. Made to last longer. There is a guy who has one here and the truck is beat to pieces. 450,000 miles original engine and no tear downs to repair it.

Our 2008 has 253,000 There is an oil consumption issue that we over came with seafoam in the engine and fuel, and the new style vale cover vent system We bought it 5 years ago with 130,000 on it One Chevy dealer said it was the rings A little help from a few websites and here we are 5 years later and 123,000 miles We sold a 2000 model when it rolled over 300k

my 02 had 480,000 when I sold it. saw it last week pulling a lawn trailer in Tampa and still going. My 2012 LTZ has 150,000 and all the bells and whistles still work perfect and it is loaded. Most people who see it or ride in it think its almost new. normal freak out when I tell them its 7 years old. Few batteries, few sets of tires, one set of plugs and wires and oil and filters every 3000 miles, that's it rest is what came with it.

I’ve had three suburbans I have a 2019 now 2003 before that 95 I got over 400,000 on all three no problem Pulled a Airstream. Good luck

It has a lot to do with weather or not it has active fuel mgmt or it’s disabled. Also the new style oil pan with baffles and redesigned valve cover will make a huge difference in miles along with maintenance of course. I have a 2008 LTZ I changed the oil in every 2500-3000 miles max and only used mobile 1 full synthetic along with the 20,000 mile filter. I now have 174,564 miles on it and I just had a new $4100.00 upgraded motor delivered I have to install. It shredded the timing gears and tensioners pulling out of a 7/11 parking lot. Bent rods, valves, holes in pistons. I still had the original AFM setup. Be sure to check. It makes a big difference.
