Ford Freestar Coolant Leak

Asked by Apr 16, 2019 at 12:39 PM about the 2007 Ford Freestar SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Pictured below is a pipe that sticks out of
the firewall. All of my hoses are dry but
water constantly leaks out of that pipe and
runs down the fire wall and drips on the
exhaust. I still have Hot Heat and Cold A/C,
why am I losing so much coolant?

1 Answer

This little pipe has nothing to do with coolant loss. It's a condensate vent for your AC and water should be coming out only when the AC is on. If you actually have coolant loss, address this separately.
