Did chain break. Why do you think it needs a valve job

When doing a compression test check the compression first. Then squirt some oil into the cylinder and check the compression again. If the original cylinder compression was low when first checking, then checking it again with oil in the cylinder, and the compression does not change, then it would be a bad valve.
