2007 F 150 4.6L.Will not start
Was out of town.Got in truck.Turned key to start. It started cranking but would not start.Let go of key and it kept cranking. It continued to crank until I turned the key off.Called garage and they came and installed new fpdm module.Fired up and away she went.Drove home 120km.No problem. The next morning I went out .Turned key to start and exact same trouble again.Phoned garage and they said check plug.Looked at the plug but it looks good..What would be problem?
My 2010 with the 4.6 would do the same thing, engine keeps cranking when key is released, had to physically shut it off. But, it would only do it when I filled up with gas. Had to change the purge valve and solenoid assembly. Threw code 1450 I believe. See if there is an EVAP code stored in memory. Run great now.
Believe it or not,new fpdm was faulty. It would work if you tapped on it.Replaced it and works ok now.I also purchased a spare.
