can a saturn sl1 parts fit into a saturn sl2? does the year matter 99-02?

00-02 cars are the same, the major difference between SL1 and SL2 is the trim level. A lot of parts are actually interchangeable between SL1 and 2. Transmission ratios are not the same between the two trim levels, so if you plan to swap engine between the two it's wise to change the transmission along with it.
