Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We had very cold air until it hit the triple digits
last week.  It just one day started blowing
extremely hot air.  We have tried to recharge
however the low port will not take the can of r-
134 into the system like it is suppose to.  We ran
car for at least 5 mins.  A/C on high position yet
it will not take freon into system.  What could be
the problem?

Are you using a manifold set of gauges to recharge or one of those quick recharge units? I have seen problems with some of the quick rechargers not depressing the valve properly so the gas won't move. You can check to see if you valve is stuck by depressing it some, just shield your eyes, it just takes a touch. If your valve is stuck then the system must be evacuated and the valve replaced, then a vacuum placed on the system to make sure all the moisture is gone, and it also checks for leaks and then recharged.
