Instrument bulb nightmare

Asked by jtangye Jun 04, 2017 at 01:30 AM about the 2000 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL1 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been trying to replace cluster bulbs. Was told red base bulbs will work-
WRONG! Then I was told I needed creme/white bulbs- Dont work either. All
orig were blue, but in-car manual does not even list blue. No one seems to
know exactly what bulbs go where. Can I only replace with blue? Right now
only part of instr is lit. HELP!!!

You should be able to get them at any parts house like advanced or AutoZone. Give them make and model and they should be out in help section. I would probably go with led. They will be cheaper

Go to your local O'reilly Auto Parts store and they will help you. I would put factory style bulbs in and not mess with LEDs.

I believe if you look at the base on the bottom side of lamp the socket it's a German name they're actually German lamps that they put in Mercedes too try looking at the base of the bulb and seeing what the name is and do a search you can find them on eBay that's how I did it.
