Is there an automatic trany with overdrive for 97 saturn

Could really use the extra gear running between 2000 and 25000 rpm at 55
mph

I am pretty sure your trans is overdrive. Small cars run higher RPM's than cars with torquey V8's. It might be possible to change the final gear ratio but it would be expensive and probably not worth it.
