i have 1995 saturn sl1. a week ago the belt broke so i replaced it.it started running hot w/water coming out reservoir like it wasnt circulating. took out thermostat and did not replace.no change!

i also replaced waterpump and again,no change! i also replaced the reservoir cap.no change! so, a new belt,waterpump and reservoir cap but didnt replace thermostat.STILL OVERHEATING and WATER BACKING OUT OF TANK(like its not circulating). PLEASE HELP!!!

Double check belt routing to in sure it was installed correctly.

Here is another one. I have read several different threads concerning this same issue. Most lean toward air in radiator and or blown head gasket. I don't care for fixa much but here it is anyway. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t3091978-1995_saturn_overheat_when_idling
