Asked by Dec 12, 2015 at 06:32 PM about the 2002 Saturn L-Series 4 Dr L100 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car is loosing antifreeze and I am having trouble locating the water pump which I think that is the problem since I checked all the hoses ,radiator and every possibility of a leak?

The water pump is on the front of the motor, probably buried in the mix in the area of the timing cover. Follow the lower coolant hose up to the engine, then you are getting close. I can't remember if it is bolted on the timing cover off to the side, or under neath the timing cover.
