95 lumina fuel pump runs when car is off unless you pull ecm fuse..why and how to fix?

just ran into same issue. what i did was rite above the starter is a whats called an oil pressure switch. attached to that switch are 3 wires. an orange, a brown, and a green. when i cut the green wire the noise stopped and the car runs great. im not sure what the green wire is for. my dad says green is used as a universal ground. try cutting the green wire and see if that does it. if not it could be the switch itself which is a 10 dollar part
