95 LUMINA IDLEING REALLY FAST

I HAVE A 95 CHEVY LUMINA  ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTED IDLING REALLY FAST
THEN I SHUT IT OFF FOR 15 MINUTES AND IT WAS FINE THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN
WHAT CAN CAUSE THIS?  DOES NOT SEEM TO BE HAPPENING ALL THE TIME
JUST NOW AND THEN  BTW HUSBAND JUST PUT NEW PLUGS IN.

Spark plugs wouldn't affect the idle of your car. There's a few things that could cause this, the idle air control sensor, vaccum leak, bad 02 sensor or even the throttle sticking. Go to autozone and tell them your problem and that you need a diagnostic test run and it should pin point the problem.
