The gear shifter on a 1995 Chevy Lumina

Asked by Jul 31, 2013 at 09:18 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gear shifter is loose in my 1995 Chevy Lumina. It won't start in park anymore. I have
to play with it to get it into neutral to get it started. Is there a way to tighten it up?

There should be an adjustment in the linkage somewhere along the line. Look up a repair online to see if someone has done it and you can read about doing it yourself.
