This is one of those questions that are very difficult to answer. But let's see what we can do...do you have any fault warning lights, such as CEL on? Did it happen suddenly or a little and get worse? One possibility, out of many, is the there has been a fault detected in your transmission and you are in "limp mode". that is to protect the engine and/or transmission from further damage but allow you to get home or to a shop. It reduces power as you describe. Go to a parts store and get your OBD codes read, do not pay them to do it, do not buy anything from them, write them down and bring them back here, one of us will be happy to help
