My 2006 Kia Sorento Ex has recently started making a faint ticking noise, weather it be in park or in drive. However my check engine light is not on, what could this be? Crank Shaft, maybe?

Ticking would be upper, lifter or valve tap,as long as it doesnt get louder you are ok,just make sure to change oil on time and keep it serviced, and may be up grade your oil weight.
