95 camaro transmission won't shift without letting off gas

Just for giggles, unhook the battery for a while and see if that fixes it. Many things can cause this. I am assuming the fluid level is good. Scan the engine for codes, if there is an engine problem, it can manifest itself in the tranny. Even a bad tps can do it. Hopefully you don't need a trans rebuild.


Check your kick down cable adjustment. Also, in the old days this could be caused by a faulty vacuum modulator. I'm not sure if you have one but if you do (it looks like a small can on the passenger's side of the transmission with a vacuum hose on it going to the engine) make sure that the vacuum hose is hooked up to the intake manifold.
