Automatic GMC sierra Wont move while in gear
I have a 2001 gmc sierra 1500 (automatic) I drove it this morning and about a 1/4 mile
down the road the truck stopped driving engine is idling normal but when in gear it will not
drive i checked the tranny fluid and its fine but i was wondering if anyone could think of a
exact cause thank you for your time
did you have it towed? should have just towed it to a garage- could be a bad tranny, could be shift linkage, could be a broken u-joint could just be aliens messin' with ya
I just had the same problem a month ago ....put the vehicle in gear and see if the driveshaft is turning and if so the rearend drivegear is possibly broken ...it was cheaper for me to change rearends in my suburban only costed me $150...in which case I saved a grip by installing myself
