At what point do you know it is the throttle body or the sensior?

Asked by Dec 15, 2014 at 11:14 AM about the 2004 Jaguar S-TYPE R Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 S-Type is in the shop right now. The car shows engine light on, as well as
"engine systems fault, park brake fault, dsc not available" showing up on the dash. The
automotive place says the code says throttle bottle failure. At what Who do I believe?

With a Check engine light, it could be many things, you first need the code. The parking brake fault and DSC fault has nothing to do with the throttle body. I assume they are fixing those separate? So apparently you don't trust your mechanic. Then I'd get a second opinion from another shop before you have them start replacing parts.
